trip to florida

OK, we are back. Not too happy about that. We return to major thunder storms and had no electricity for like 2 days. Welcome home right? This is a LONG video. There is like 300 pics and videos. Hey, it was a long vacation, sorry!!!!

Day one: we left here about 5:30 pm. We had bought adapters for the car and new tv screens so that the kids could play playstation on the way to Florida. When Mike went to hook up the TV's to the playstation, the adapter wasn't strong enough. So, on the way to mom's we hit a bird, good sign. We get her and off we go to the store to buy another adapter so the kids could have playstation. We search and search until we get what we need. We leave Pittsburgh about 7:50pm. Mike drove the whole way. He worked that morning and had to get up at 5am. I kept asking him if he wanted me to drive, but he refused. We had to get gas 3 times and we did stop for breakfast. The kids did good. We took a pee can (got that one from my dad. He only would stop for himself, not us:), so we didn't stop much. We stopped for breakfast and made it to Aunt Sherri's around 11:30am.

Day Two: We got to Aunt Sherri's and took our stuff in, toured the house a little and there was a mini hurricane, lol. It rained so bad, but then just stopped. After it calmed down, the sun was out and we were off to the beach. The kids were so anxious to get there. We went to a small beach by Aunt Sherri's called Flagler Beach. Michael LOVES the water. He is a fish. He kept having Mike take him way out there. I don't really like going way out there. I like to stay closer to the shore. I got taken under once and that was enough for me. Zac was still afraid of the water. He had it go in his face and that was it. He would go in a little and no farther. Luka was scared. He would go in and when the water came, it would make him dizzy, and he would fall over. He was more interested in just running because he was free. I spent my day chasing him. He was running up and down the beach.

Day Three: Mom, Aunt Sherri, and I went shopping. They have a store that has MAJOR discount clothes. I got Michael Oshkosh and South Pole and other name brand clothes, jeans for like $3.00 a pair. Then, we went to eat at Cracker Barrel and headed over to St. Petersburgh for Michael's tammie festival. On our way, we stopped at my godfather, Emil's house, in Tampa, to visit him.

Day Four: Michael had to get up and go rehearse for the festival. We took him over and headed back to the hotel to get ready. I go to get dressed and discover, I don't have my pants that I was going to wear. The only other thing I brought was shorts. Don't really go with a dressy shirt. So I had to run around Clearwater, Florida looking for pants. I finally did find them and we went to the concert. It was really nice. 250 kids. Long concert. It was HOT HOT HOT. The air conditioner in the theater broke. It was raining too which made it humid at that time. Very nice concert. After we went to the dinner/dance and had a really good time.

Day Five: Off to Magic Kingdom. Checked into the All Star Sports Hotel and went to the Magic Kingdom. It started to rain. No thunder, no lightening, just rain. We just bought some ponchos, $50 in Disney, and went about our day. The kids had a wonderful time. We did as much as we could do, but there isn't enough time to do it all. Because we were resort guests, we could stay until 2am because of the extra magic hours.

Day Six: Disney's Hollywood Studios. We weren't too impressed. It was very hot. We were actually wishing that it would rain. I didn't remember what this park was all about, but I wish we didn't go there. The kids didn't seem to mind it, but it just wasn't great. Michael did have a highlight there though, he rode the Tower of Terror. It is a ride that shoots you up and drops you down. That kid had NO FEAR!!

Day Seven: Epcot. It sure has changed since I have last been here. I can't believe all the stuff it has for kids. I never did get to make it to see the countries. I bet the kids are happy about that. They loved it. They had alot of fun. It was definately my favorite park. Mike's too.

Day Eight: Animal Kingdom. It was nice, but I wasn't too impressed. Once again though Michael rode a major ride, Expedition Everest. It is a roller coaster. Pretty big for a 5 year old. It even goes backwards. I am so proud of him. He rode it twice.

Disney wrap up: The kids were not too young to go. I don't think that they will be interested in Mickey Mouse at the age of 15. They are boys. They really enjoyed themselves. As far as remembering, I don't remember alot of stuff that I do. I went to North Carolina with MIke 7 years ago and don't remember much about it, but I had fun at the time. We will go back and we have pictures to show them. It rained everyday, but not enough to ruin our days. Actually, it helped us from sweating to death:).

We headed back to Aunt Sherri's after Animal Kingdom

Day Nine: Daytona Beach. Same story as the other beach, but Michael had extra fun because it was high tide.

Day ten: the day we left. We went to a HUGE flea market in Daytona and they had free water slides outside for the kids and gave them free lunch. Can't beat that. After that we went to dinner at Barbara Jeans. It is famous for their Crab Cakes. Boy were they good. EVERYTHING was EXCELLENT. One of the BEST meals I had. Then we headed back to Aunt Sherri's to pick up our snacks and head home. Aunt Sherri took the boys for one last walk. We left at 7:50pm and got to Robinson at 10am and had to stop at Sam's club. So, if we came home, it would have been 10:30. Good timing. That is because I took over and drove a little, lol.

The kids loved their vacation. Zac didn't want to come home. He cried. He wanted to go to a hotel again. They were all so good. Especially Luka. He was a little fussy at times, but what that can be expected from a 16 month old. I could not have asked for any better behavior really. I had nightmares on how they were gonna be and they surprised me. It was a nice vacation. Time to start planning the next one :)
