Cancun

I know I haven't been on here much. We really haven't done much because we went to Cancun for vacation this year. We went from June 24 to June 30. It was the best vacation. The kids are begging to go back already, lol.


The day we got there, we just pretty much hung out. They had a Karaoke Bar at the hotel that the kids could go to. They made the kids all kinds of different drinks so they thought they had one, LOL. They got Pina Coladas, Margaritas, "shots" of tequila (ginger ale, lol). They were so excited.



Saturday, we went on a catamaran to Isla Mujeres. It was a lot of fun. They gave you drinks the whole time on the boat. So, when we got back, we got on a bus. Some guy told us that it was not going to the hotels. Well, we only had enough money to take the bus. We didn't want to carry too much money. After we paid the bus, we had to find a taxi with someone that spoke enough English, to take us back and wait to be paid! I think it was downtown Cancun, or somewhere close, that we were in. Mike was nervous. Listening to the TV too much. We weren't in a bad area, but he wanted OUT of there.



Sunday, we met up with our friend that went as well. We sat and watched the kids while having drinks. It rained that day. We met 2 guys (18yrs old) that hung around us. They taught us some things. They were from Monterray, where all the violence is. The one is sending me Mexican recipes. The kids had a great time in the pool. It didn't matter to them that it was raining.



Monday, it rained again. It was BAD! Like a hurricane. It calmed down and we went to the mall. We took the kids to the Aquarium and seen a dolphin show. Their mall is unbelievable. We have nothing like it around here. I didn't have my camera though.




I swore a hurricane was coming. I never seen a storm like that, but it was all rain. Mike took the kids in the ocean a little, but that current was way to strong for them (I think because of the storm). They didn't care. They loved the kids pool. The ocean current is a lot stronger down there though.



Tuesday we went to the fleamarkets for shopping, looking at things. We went to Senior Frogs for Mike and I to get a drink, get the kids drinks, and chips and salsa. EXPENSIVE. We stayed at the resort to eat and stuff other than that. Since it was all inclusive, why not?



Wednesday, we went to dinner with our friends. We were suppose to meet our contact guy at the hotel. He was there in case you needed anything. He was suppose to tell us when our transportation would be there for the next day. We waited and waited and waited and he never showed up. By the time we waited for him, we went to go to the El Rey ruins and they were closed. He completely wasted our day.



Thursday we left.



They had a different show every night, the bars, a bunch of restaurants, 24 hr room service, just excellent time. The people are so nice, I think that makes it better too. The service you get in GREAT! The hotel had so much inside. You didn't really have to leave.
