Niagara Falls

The kids were invited to Hamilton for a festival. When I had to go through the pain of passports, I decided we were going to go to Niagara Falls ahead of time. We got there on Thursday. We checked in, hung out a little. Our room was AWESOME! It had an excellent view. We went to dinner, which we had a discount for included in our package, at a restaurant in the hotel called The Keg. It overlooked the falls, so that was nice. Dinner was SOOOO good. Then we let the kids go swimming.

The next morning, after a free FULL breakfast, we headed out. We drove to the Whirlpool and the floral clock (that wasn't alive, lol.) The kids seen their first black squirrel. After that, we went to Clifton Hills, where everything is. I purchased tickets in advance to do certain things. The kids just couldn't get that through their head. There is SOOO much to do there now. They wanted to do it all. I kept trying to remind them that this wasn't our main vacation. They were lucky enough to be able to go and do anything!!! So they got to go into Ripley's Believe It or Not, Ghost Blaster's Ride, Play Minature Golf, go in a wax museum, play in the arcade, and ride the big huge Sky Wheel. I thought that was good. When they went on the Sky Wheel, I waited. I so hate ferris wheels. Mike tried to talk me into it. We had just came out of the wax museum that was scary. Luka was crying and I was shaking. Then he is trying to get me to go on a ferris wheel. I told him that someone could walk up and offer me $1,000 and I wouldn't do it!!! Two of our friends from tammies arrived that day too. We didn't really get to see each other much because we were doing our own things. Hard to stay together when we already did the things they wanted to do, but we did see each other here and there.

We ate at the Rainforest Cafe. Luka had been asking to go there. We ate at one in Chicago and we ate at T-Rex (very similar), in Florida. Before we even went, he kept saying "I want to eat at the place that rains." He was very happy.

The next morning another tammie family arrived, lol. Guess we weren't the only ones with the idea to see the falls. We finally went down to the falls!!!!! Yes, on the third and final day, lol. We had to head out to go to Hamilton, so we went after that. The kids performed and had a good time running around like maniacs, lol. They made new friends. That is the nice thing about tammies, you go on trips and make new friends from all around. Hamilton has a VERY large Serbian community. The church we went to, Sveti Nikola on Nash Road in Hamilton, has 1,000 members.

The next morning, we woke up and headed home. We drove via the falls so the kids could say goodbye, lol. They LOVED it. They want to go back. I love it to.
