Kalahari

We took the kids to Kalahari in Sandusky, Ohio. It is an indoor water park. I had been watching the site for a while and got 2 nights for the price of one. Mike took off work Friday and we let the kids miss school. When we got there, the kids were so excited. Michael kept saying that he thought that he was in a dream. It was so big. Water slides, pools, lazy river, wave pool, toddler areas, surf board, etc.... The kids wanted to hit the wave pool first. We stayed for a few hours and headed back to the room to change and hit the arcade. Boy, that thing was huge. Games I had never seen. Then they had an inside play area that the kids loved too. Then off to bed. As you will see in the one picture, Michael was still up at 1:30 am. Hard to unwind after such an eventful day. The next day, we got up and had breakfast. It was included. Then, to the water park again. I had told Mike that I wanted to go to the spa to get a message and he said go ahead. So we had a plan, he would keep the kids at the water park, I would get my message, and we would meet after for dinner. That was THE BEST message I have ever gotten, and I have gotten many. I got the deep tissue. I had a few areas that needed work. Next time, maybe the hot stone. So, when I was done, we met for dinner. Saturday was so busy at Kalahari (they said 3,000 people) that we thought we would leave to get dinner. Turned out to be a mistake. We went to Hibachi and took about 2 hours total. That wasted time. When we returned, we went back to the water park. The kids went on what they wanted to. They had decent size slides, but not huge, in this one area, with no size limit. Even Luka went. He loved it. I didn't have my camera. I only took it once so it didn't get damaged. We were shocked though because they were so big. That night, after swimming, we just went back to the room because we knew the clocks changed. Sunday, we had to get up and check out. Breakfast again and some games. We went to the safari over in Port Clinton. They had animals at Kalahari, but it was cold and the safari was drive through. Oh what an experience. We had our windows all the way down and the animals came over and were literally trying to get in the van!!!! We learned real quick, rolled up the windows, and just left a crack. They still were trying to get in. We were laughing so hard, it was such a blast. The kids loved their trip.
