Winter Storm

Michael isn't standing in the snow, he is sitting. It isn't THAT deep, lol

Luka, he is always working. You take him to play in the snow and he would rather help shovel.

Zeke decided that he was just going to use my sidewalk for a bathroom. He wouldn't be able to make it in that snow as you could see, lol.

We stomped down a spot for the dog and he decided he would try it out.

We got tons of snow. It all started on my birthday. I was being a brat and was upset because I always go to dinner on my birthday and I was NOT letting this storm stop me. So Mike, me, and the kids headed to pick up my mom and Kristy was meeting us up in Robinson to go to the Ichiban Hibachi Steakhouse. It had begun to snow already. When we were done eating, we seen no reason to rush home, it already was too late. The roads were covered, so we hit some stores. We left Robinson at 8pm. The roads were covered. I don't know if they just gave up because it was coming down too fast or what. We just drove slower and steady. Funny though, we live in Western Pa. It snows, people should be use to that. I didn't see any out of town plates. But all of the sudden, everyone forgets how to drive!!!! They are either flying down the road going 100mph (the ones that have 4 wheel drive that think they are invincible)or going so slow they are barely moving. Those are probably the same people we seen in the ditches. So, we get clear down by Brighton Township and there are cars, going so slow, they are sliding all over. Well our van is TERRIBLE in the snow. If we would have stopped, we would have been done, so we drove out around all these people. When we got onto Engle (the main road going to my mom's) we were the first set of tire tracks. Then heading home, a nice man warned us that a live power line was stretching across the WHOLE road. We had to drive off of the road to miss it. We get home only to lose power. Happy Birthday to me, lol.
When we woke up, we had power, but had a ton of snow to content with. Behind our house is a private alley way that nobody will touch. Those that live here are responsible for it. So, I look outside and the guys are out there shoveling. Mike was out front working on digging out his work truck. So, I go out and start helping dig out the alley way, knowing it is our only way out. Boy, what a work out. I am SOOO sore still. The kids are having a blast playin in it, the best they can. It basically covers them. The dogs can't even go out and use the bathroom. And now, on top of this, we can get more than 6" tomorrow. They cancelled school because the roads aren't cleaned yet and all of these students live within BLOCKS of the school!!! Imagine if we get 6 more inches or more. This sure is one for the books, I will tell you. I just don't know what is taking so long to get the roads done.

That is A LOT OF SNOW!!! Fun to play in for a day or two, but would hate to have to drive in it or shovel it (:

As you all have had a lot of snow, we got a lot of rain, we are actually above what we need for the year already I think, lol. (:
