It's that time of year again, Halloween. The kids were sick. It all started Saturday with Zachary. He complained of body aches and had a fever of 103. Right away I got nervous with that swine flu going around. All you hear about is it killing people. Now, I should know better than to listen to the media, but when it comes to the kids, I can't. I have a medical background, I know they what they do, just like West Nile, but still, I am paranoid. So I take Zac to a clinic. He tested negetive for the flu, so they thought he just had a virus. He did have a double ear infection. By Sunday night, Michael had it. Temperature of 103. I still was nervous, thinking maybe the test was wrong. He was complaining of body aches, cough, fever, runny nose, all the symptoms. Then on Tuesday night, Luka got it. I called the Dr because his fever went to 103.3 and he complained of his ear. Ear infection for Luka too. Luka was fever free on Wednesday night. Zac and Michael, however, still had theirs. I never heard of a fever lasting so long. When I took Luka to the Dr on Wednesday, I asked if the kids could go trick or treat for a little. He told me yes. They were acting fine. It was the strangest thing. Temperatures of 103 and they were running around. So Thursday, we went trick or treating for a little. They were all tired in an hour. They got a lot of candy in that hour though. But Michael's fever shot back up to 103.3. We went to the Dr., everything was fine. No more fevers, thank god. I guess my prayers worked. I have NEVER heard of a fever for a week. It sure has been something. They did enjoy trick or treat though.
As far as trick or treat, Luka was going to be Mickey again, but decided, last minute, he wanted to be a skeleton. Michael was an alien and Zac was Jack from Nightmare Before Christmas.
Luka did wonderful. He was so careful going up and down all the steps. He was so cute. I can't believe how big he is getting. He loved his costume SOOOO much. Just too cute. He carried his little pumpkin the whole time and only had to be carried the last block home. He is getting so big. Everyone that passes us just loved his costume. All the kids really. Hopefully, next year, they will be healthy. Oh, this print is so big because my mom complains she can't read it. Oh, I did a cat pumpkin too, just never got a picture of it.
