Michael and Zac's party
We had Michael and Zachary's birthday party last weekend. It wasn't hot, it was only like 73 degrees, but I was happy. It was a perfect temperature. Michael and Zac each had two friends over. They were all so busy playing in the yard we never seen them. Zac was miserable. I don't know what has been going on with him. He seems to be regressing. He has turned into a big cry baby. I don't know if it is attention or what. He was being a brat. They enjoyed their presents. We had Mexican food. Michael and Luka even love it now. Of course it is my favorite and they grew up on it so that is probably why. So when it came to the cake, I didn't know what to do. We usually make them and they turn out nice. I was going to make a sombrero, but that didn't have a kid theme. I knew that Walmart or Giant Eagle or a place like that wouldn't be capable, so I called a real cake place. To my surprise, they did it for the same price that it would have cost for a regular cake at the other places. And the kids loved it.
Michael is now 7, hard to believe. He is getting so big, but he doesn't have much patients. If he tries something and it doesn't work for him, he still whines and gives up. He is doing good in school again so far. He got a B on his first test. He brought home his homework one night and gave it to me in about 1 minute and said "this is all too easy." I told him if it were so easy he would get straight A's, LOL. He has an answer for everything too. He is still very lovable, but only on occasion. He prefers to be alone. He loves the computer. He and his friend Thomas play some game online called Poptropica. He is lazy, but so is Zac. I guess they think I am here to wait on them. Luka helps, for now. Hard to believe it has been 7 years since I had him. I am sure he will turn out to be a fine young man.
Zac, like I said, is really regressing. If he sees someone getting attention, he will run to someone else and try to get some. He cries and cries and cries. It drives me nuts. He says that he wants to go back to preschool because he has to listen in kindergarden, LOL. I told him he has to listen in preschool too. I asked his teacher how he was doing and she said fine, but he is a little unsure of himself. I guess he needs more confidence. He is learning how to read. He knows how to write all of his letters and now he is moving onto words. He is doing really well and we are proud. And today is his birthday. We will take him somewhere this weekend because Mike had to work late all week and won't be home.
There is an update on those two. Luka is doing well also. I hate to say this, but he may be the smartest one of all. He seems as old as Zac. He knows and says things he shouldn't know at this age. He is a handful though. Gets into everything. Terrible two's for sure. I got spoiled with the first two. Oh, and he got his hair cut. I will have to post pics. I left it longer, but not too long.
I know it sounds like I have the worst kids, but they are 3 boys close in age. Yeah, they fight. Yeah, they get into stuff. Yeah, they aren't perfect. But we love them, they are individuals, and we wouldn't trade them for the world. And they all have positives too. And I am sure all of our parents have stories!! All kids have their days. All kids have frustrations and have to figure out the best ways to deal with them.
