Christmas '09
Well Christmas came and went. Christmas Eve we went to church. We left Luka at home with the guys because we knew that it would be too long of a service for him to sit through. Michael and Zac ended up on the front page of the Beaver County Times. Zac was so proud to be carrying the oak branches (part of the service) that the Times guy just loved it. I can't figure out how to get that picture on here. Anyway, after we went in the parade and to the club to see Santa. Luka was scared to death of Santa. He wanted NO parts of him. Michael and Zac told him what they wanted and we headed to my house to open presents from the family. The kids were happy with their gifts. Michael and Zac got a prim for tammies. Zac was soooo happy.
Christmas morning, to my surprise, the kids slept until 8:00 am. Michael and Zac were excited to get started. Luka was more excited to see what Michael and Zac got. Zac flew through his presents so fast, looking for his Nintendo DS that he swore that Santa was going to bring. Michael took his time. Luka didn't really open anything much. Too confusing for him this year I think. I just opened his stuff and showed him and then he was happy to see it. At the end, Zac finally opened his Nintendo DS, as did Michael. They were two happy boys. Luka got a trike that he really enjoyed. I don't think Santa knew how bad Zac was going to be with the Nintendo DS though. When we tell him it is time to put it down, he throws a fit!!! Michael accepts it better.
After that, they played with their toys for a little and we got ready to go to my mom's for Christmas dinner. It was really nice. Everybody enjoyed getting together and talking. We all had a really good time. We didn't send the kids to school on the 8th and we just played with toys and took down our decorations. Yes, the day after Christmas and I was ready!! I just was tired of Luka breaking my ornaments. He also took off the 9th so we let the kids stay home again and ran to the store because we planned to take the kids to the Carnegie Science Center Saturday. That was one of their gifts. A one year membership to the Science Center and museums from their Godmother Joann. Well, wouldn't you know we got a snow storm. So, we were stuck at home again. What a vacation huh?
