We took the kids to the Hookstown Fair. We went last year, but this may be our last year. We got discount tickets ahead of time. We went and went over to the rodeo. That was interesting. Michael was really into it. It was exciting. Zac really didn't care much. Still too little. We watched it for a little bit and headed to the rides. We went to the bigger rides first. Now, the same company was there this year that was there last year. But, as we were walking, we noticed that you had to be 48" tall to ride most of the rides. Like the bumper cars. Now come on. I can take a kid to Cedar Point and put them on the Millenium Force or the Magnum, roller coasters with hills of 200-300ft tall and they can't ride the bumper cars. Zac can go to Kennywood and ride the Jack Rabbit roller coaster but can't go on the music thing that spins in a circle. So, we head to kiddie land. Well, that got no better. Zac wasn't tall enough to go down two of the slides that they had. Not even with an adult. Then, Michael was TOO tall to ride the kiddie rides. We could not believe it. So Michael got to ride like 2 things. That was it. What a change in a year. Then, Luka was free to get in. Nobody asked us a thing. We start putting him on rides, and the ride people, speaking half english, kept asking where his wrist band was. We kept telling them he was under 2 and didn't have to pay. Finally we just got fed up and left. The kids did have fun, they didn't realize all this was happening, but we will not be returning to the Hookstown Fair.

Glad you had fun while you were there. I'm sorry you had trouble with all the rides.
