Finally the sun!!!

It finally warmed up around here. The other day, Saturday, the kids were at my mom's and all got REALLY BAD sun burn. Zac, Michael, and Milana. It was one of those overcast days where you don't realize you are getting sun until it is too late. So, they have been begging to go back and get into the big pool anyway. I figured, I will just leave shirts on them and still put sunscreen on and go. It was very hard for me to manage all 3 kids by myself, but I did it. Michael kept asking to go in the big pool and I kept wondering how I was going to manage this one. Well, I did. I got them all in and we discovered, Michael now reaches the bottom. He can walk in the pool. That is all that he needed to find out, because it wasn't long before he got brave enough to start jumping in. It just occured to me, I don't know why I didn't take a video of that. Oh well, next time. Zac, seeing Michael, was wanting to take off his raft. I kept telling him he isn't big enough yet. Luka had NO problem with the pool at all. He really enjoyed it. He did have a problem with the sprinkler though. He didn't really know what to make of it. He would only go near it when it was on very low and then he would get a drink.

Here are a few pictures of what Michael looks like. I feel so bad for him. Lesson: USE SUNSCREEN NO MATTER WHAT!!! I know that I will now. They say to put it on every 2 hours.
Now I guess you can see why he has been crying for 3 days. I called the Dr. and they basically say there is nothing you can do but put on aloe and all the other remedies, but Michael wouldn't even let us touch him
He even had a few blisters that came up on his shoulders. I feel so bad for him. He says that you can touch him today though, so it must be getting better. Mom feels terrible. They did have sunscreen on, I guess it was just a little too late.
Zac didn't get it as bad. He has a different skin tone. He never did really complain.

I hope that is the last time that we have to deal with that. I know one thing, in Florida, they are leaving shirts on!!!!

Ouch... Sunburn sure hurts. I've done a number on myself a few times. I acctually was hospitalized for it once.

Glad they are feeling better though.

I know living in the Valley of the Sun we are suppose to use sunscreen everyday even in winter. during spring summer we go through many bottles. Just 20 minutes out here is all it takes. We use the spf 50, the girls have fair skin but seem to tan easily.
