Well, our Valentine baby is here. He is adorable. Let's see, on Wednesday, Mike and I headed to Ohio Valley General Hospital at 5 a.m. in blizzard-like conditions. The roads had not been touched at all. There was snow topped off with ice covering them. We had no problems though. We arrived at the hospital at 6:15 a.m. By 7:15 a.m. they started my pitocin (to induce labor). Soon after 8 a.m. I began to feel contractions. I kept telling them that I was having them, but they weren't showing up on the monitor. They continued to get worse and closer. I told them to give me an epidural. What a waste that was (I will get to that). Finally the Dr inserted an internal monitor. By then it was after 10 a.m. They seen that my contractions were 2 mins apart. I was in such horrible pain. It reminded me of when I had Michael and didn't get the benefits of an epidural. I was moaning and groaning about how bad it hurt. The anesthesiologist came in to give me a boost of it while the Dr. checked me because I was in such pain. Well, Luka was coming. If they would have just listened to me I could have told them that. Right before pushing, I got a few back labor pains. God, that was terrible. Much worse than front labor. A few pushes later and Luka was here. 8lbs 12oz and 21 inches born at 10:48 a.m. The nurses were all amazed at how fast I progressed and how fast he came. He was anxious to get out. Well now, we are experiencing a bit of a problem. His bilirubin level is high. Common for breast fed babies, but being Zac was hospitalized for the same thing, there is a little more concern. We have to keep feeding him and take him to get re-checked tomorrow. He has dropped to 8lbs 5oz. I pray he doesn't have to be hospitalized. Please, everyone say a prayer. We just want our family to be able to start bonding and be together. I will let everyone know what happens with that as it goes. But we are very happy to have Luka Daniel with us now. The boys are ecstatic to have their brother here. They are fighting over who gets to hold him. It has been interesting. I am breast feeding and they want to feed him. Zac keeps trying to get bottles. It's a trip. Michael has been a little mother hen. Too cute. Well enjoy the pics and the video.
