Michael News

We took Michael to the Doctor again, because he was complaining about his ears. Well, he had another ear infection. He had fluid on his ear and they put him on an antibiotic for 10 days. When we went back, he still had fluid. They took an x-ray of his identical and they are fairly large. So the Dr. Wanted to put tubes back in his ears, plus take out his identical. He wasn't going to do anything about the tonsils, but I informed him that Michael is having a hard time eating because they are so large, so he said he'll remove them too. Surgery will be November 16th. He will be off of school for a week and a half. I don't know why they couldn't have done this in the summer. We knew that this would be inevitable, but the Dr. wanted to wait until he was older. Now though, that the time is here, I am having 2nd thoughts. I am scared to death. I guess after what happened with Tate, I will never feel safe in a hospital again. We are having it done at Ohio Valley General in McKees Rocks. That's where I had both of the boys and will have this one. I WON"T go to the Medical Center unless I am on the brink of death and can't take the time to go anywhere else. So, now I get to worry and be nervous for the next month. You know, if it were me going for surgery, I wouldn't think twice, but it's my baby. It's just hard. Especially after what happened with Tate. I have to try to stay composed, though, for Michael's sake. He has no problem with the whole thing. He is ready to get it done now. We are only waiting because if we do it then, he won't miss as much school because of Thanksgiving break. I will keep everyone updated.

Poor Guy. I'm sure it doesn't phase him. Kids usually don't have fear.

I can only imagine how you must be feeling, I know I would be going nuts too if Chey had to go into surgery.

Everything will turn out just fine, he will breeze through this. just try to stay calm and know he will be in good hands.

Keep us posted.
