Happy Birthday Michael

Today was Michael's birthday. He woke up and got his small gifts because his mom and dad already bought him and Zachary a battery operated quad for their birthday present. They got it early because it was on clearance and they were with us. So this time he got paint to paint on the road (it was stupid and didn't work well), a dvd player, quick sand, and a motorcycle thing. He will have his party, with Zac, on September 2nd. It would just be too much for me to have 2 parties ony 4 weeks apart. So we decided that we would do something small with them on the actual day of their birthday, but have the party then. After he opened his gifts, we went to dinner at an Italian restaurant in New Castle called Sghetti's. It was good, but it took like 1 and 1/2 hours to eat there. That is a little much. I mean it was only us, Kristy, Kayla, Tony, and Mom. Then it was off to meet Ray at the Lawrence County Fair (he had to work). It was not as big as we thought that it would be, but was nice. They rode all of the rides, and Zac, now that summer is over, really got past his fear. He was begging to ride the rides. He loved the scrambler. At the end of the night, they had fireworks. They were really nice. A nice time was had by all. Here is a video of Zac on the scrambler. If you start by watching him, you can pretty much follow him around. He just had such a blast.

Hey guys, I was looking through this blog and noticed that there are a lot of events that I was NEVER invited to. I discussed this with Bill. We are the kind of Aunt and Uncle who would have been there. We have friends who's children call us Aunt Miss and Uncle Bill. Their kids love us. We go to anything they invite us to. Also, we have them spend the weekend and have a lot of fun. I cannot count how many times I mentioned that to you guys, and always got some kind of an excuse about Michael not going to sleep. Other parents have thought that too, but we've never had a problem getting children to sleep. We have so much fun playing all day they just pass out by the time evening comes. I get accused of never stopping in, but when did you guys stop in all of the times that you were at Sparkles buying the milk that was on sale, or all of the times you went to buy cigs. in West Virginia, or how about WalMart? I don't want to fight, I just don't want to be the only one accused of not being attentive. I want to have a relationship with my nephews, but for some reason, I'm never included in anything they do. I absolutely Love Christy, and have no problem with her at all, nor do I have a problem with Natalie, but you have to admit, someone picked up the phone and made plans with them to go to all of these fun places. I don't recall EVER receiving an invitation. Love Missy
