As you all may have seen on the news, we had a big pep rally for the Steelers. Well we were there. We figured what a great opportunity. It was me, Mike, Michael, Kristy, Ray, Kayla, and Tony. And we met Natalie's boyfriend and friend Tony and Bob up there. It was insane. When we were driving up there, traffic was backed up from the stadium to Robinson Town Center (about 10 miles). But we were determined to go. Then we started to hear, on the radio, that there was no place to park around the stadium. We had to park downtown Pittsburgh, walk across the Roberto Clemente Bridge, past PNC park, to Heinz Field. Pretty long walk. It was all worth it. People are nuts when it comes to the Steelers. You would've thought that it was a game. People screaming, waving the terrible towels. They had a concert with the Poverty Neck Hillbillies, then showed clips from the games from the season, and then had some of the Steelers come up. There was Porter, Randel El, Farrior, Ward, Bettis, Roethlisberger, well that's who I remember. Bettis, Ward, Farrior, and Roethlisberger talked and thanked all of the fans. It was neat. Just to be able to go to Heinz Field was nice. These pictures were taken after people already started to leave. And the rally didn't end at the stadium. People got into their cars beeping their horns, screaming, waving their towels out the window. Of course, we joined in the fun by blasting the Here We Go song out the window of the van. Thought everyone would be interested in seeing these pics. I have a few more to post.
